June Garden Photos

June 5th, 2009

There has been a lot of growth in the garden over the past month. We’ve harvested a few pounds of early cherry tomatoes, a few pounds of bush beans, about ten cucumbers, and four jalapeno peppers.

You can compare these photos to the photos from May. You can also view the garden map for plant references.

Daily temperatures are predicted to be near 100° (38° C) next week. It will be interesting to see which tomato varieties hold up through the high heat.

Ouch, brutal heat! I would be interested to know if there ends up being a difference between the olla tomato beds vs. the non-olla ones in the next couple weeks…

These are great. You’re using ollas? Would like to know if there’s a difference, too.

Great pictures and great success, congratulations.
I have to admit I’ve been in the lawn and garden industry for 10 years now, and while I really used to enjoy my garden, it all slipped away somehow, perhaps when it became my work.
Nice blog, you’ve given me some inspiration to get back into my own garden and start doing the things I used to enjoy so much.
